Regional digitalisation grants

Up to 70% of your
project covered

In Brussels, Wallonia and Flanders alike, the Regions support the digitalisation of freelancers and SMEs. The cap is the same everywhere: 70%. Your actual rate depends on your file — and the only way to know it is to check your eligibility by filling in the form.

Indicative estimate. Whether a grant is awarded, and at what rate, is decided solely by the regional administration and depends on your situation, your size and the available budget. We put the file together; we do not decide it. Annual caps and minimum amounts apply depending on the scheme.

What changes the coverage

The cap is 70%, but every file is different. Here is what the administration looks at — and what the form checks for you.

The size of your company

Micro, small or medium-sized: the base rate and bonuses depend on it.

Sets the base rate

The age of the company

A company under four years old may qualify for a "starter" bonus.

Can raise the rate

Your labels

A recognised environmental or social excellence label can unlock a bonus.

Can raise the rate

Your sector

Some sectors are excluded: finance, insurance, agriculture, gambling, public administration…

Aid already received

A recent digital grant or the EU "de minimis" rules can limit the amount.

The timing

Depending on the scheme, the application must come before work starts. Starting too early can cancel eligibility.

Frequently asked questions

What to know before you start

The cap is 70% in Brussels, Wallonia and Flanders. What changes your rate is your file: size, age, labels, sector, aid already received. The form checks all of this for you.

This is the most common trap. Depending on the scheme, starting work before the application is filed cancels the right to the grant. We check the order of steps before starting anything.

You pay nothing extra for putting the file together. The quote already showed the amount without the grant: that is what applies, with no nasty surprise.

Generally not: the schemes cover the investment, not recurring costs. We state this in the quote so the monthly budget is clear.

It depends on the scheme: several target businesses and exclude the non-profit sector. We check case by case, and the non-profit rate applies either way.

No. The commitment relates to our annual profit, not to the price of a project or the grant. Whether or not the Region contributes, nothing changes for the association.
